Ashton Football Club Launches New Website!

Ashton Football Club is thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new website, a dynamic online platform designed to celebrate everything that makes our club so special. With nearly 40 teams, a rich history, and a commitment to community and inclusivity, this new site is packed with features to keep members, players, families, and supporters connected and informed like never before!

One of the highlights of the new website is the comprehensive About Us section. Here, visitors can dive into the rich history of Ashton FC, a club that has been at the heart of the Ashton and BS3 community for decades. From its humble beginnings to becoming one of the UK’s largest youth and grassroots football clubs—spanning boys, girls, and adult sides, the history section tells our story in full.

This page also features an introduction to our club committee members, the dedicated individuals who keep the club running and growing behind the scenes.

Safeguarding & Welfare Area

We are also proud to unveil a dedicated Safeguarding and Welfare area on the site. As a club, we take the safety and well-being of our members seriously, and this section offers resources to ensure that everyone involved with the club feels supported. The safeguarding section includes vital advice and guidelines, information on how to raise concerns, and contact details for our club’s welfare officer and the FA’s safeguarding team.

In addition to safeguarding, the Resources area offers easy access to Football England’s free e-learning courses and informative articles designed to support both players, parents, and coaches in their development. This is a great initiative to ensure that everyone associated with Ashton FC can continue to grow and thrive in a safe and supportive environment.

New Team Directory

Our moto of “Many Teams, One Club” means we recognise that our club size can be confusing and overwhelming at times. So, if you’re looking for information, our new Team Directory allows you to easily locate any of our teams, from our youngest age groups to our adult sides. With gender, team and school year sorting features, it’s now simpler than ever to navigate and find team details, training schedules/locations, fixtures, and more – ensuring no one misses out on the action!

Player Registration & Annual Membership Portal

As part of our commitment to providing a seamless digital experience for our members, we’ve also launched an easy-to-use Player Registration and Membership Fee Payment Portal – powered by TeamFeePay.com. This new feature allows players to register quickly and securely for the upcoming season, while paying membership fees online is now more convenient than ever. It’s a fantastic addition to our website that will help streamline our club’s administrative/finance processes and keep things running smoothly.

The Hall of Fame

No new website would be complete without a Hall of Fame! Our Hall of Fame section honours the recipients of our prestigious awards:

  • The Neil Boyce Award
  • The Joe Dymond-Williams Award
  • The Terry Hazel Award

But that’s not all—we’ve also showcased over 300 players who made 100+ appearances for Ashton FC in formal league and cup competitions over the years. Their dedication, passion, and hard work have been crucial in shaping the legacy of our club, and we are delighted to recognise their achievements.

Comments from the Club Committee

Club Chairman, Martin Peters, shared his excitement about the website launch, saying, “This new website marks a milestone in our club’s evolution. It’s an amazing platform that reflects the strength, unity, and success of Ashton FC. We’re incredibly proud to offer our members a place where they can easily connect, find information, and showcase their achievements.”

Club Secretary, Jon Cole, added, “Having a website that truly represents who we are as a club is so important. With so many teams and a wide-reaching community, this new platform is a great tool for keeping everyone in the loop, whether you’re a player, coach, or parent. I’m excited to see how it will enhance our club’s experience moving forward.”

A huge thank you goes to Gavin Cranshaw, a former Ashton FC player and recipient of the Joe Dymond-Williams Award, for designing and building the site. Gavin, who played for the club from Under 5’s to Under 18’s, worked alongside his colleagues at Halt to ensure the site is user-friendly, visually appealing, and functional. Chris Cranshaw, former vice chairman and team manager, also played an instrumental role in crafting the site’s user interface, ensuring that it is intuitive and accessible for everyone involved with Ashton FC.

Chris said, “The new site is designed with club members in mind. It’s all about making things easier and more accessible, whether you’re registering as a player or catching up on the latest news. We hope this platform will be a great tool for the community and a way to showcase Ashton FC to a wider audience.”
