Nurturing Grassroots Football for All Ages

Originally founded as Ashton Boys FC in 1994 by Terry Hazel—a local legend in the world of football—Ashton Football Club has been at the heart of the community, offering opportunities for players of all ages to enjoy grassroots football.

What began with a single team of 14 young players training at Greville Smyth Park, across from Ashton Gate Stadium, has grown over the past 30 years into a thriving club with nearly 40 teams.

Today, we proudly stand as one of the UK’s largest youth football clubs, providing access to grassroots football for over 600 boys and girls, as well as opportunities for adults to get involved in the game.

Our matches are played across four main cherished venues: the club’s spiritual home of Greville Smyth Park, Ashton Park School, Bedminster Cricket Club’s Clanage Ground, and the Bristol Cathedral Choir School Sports Fields in Failand. Each location embodies our passion for fostering a love of football in players from all walks of life.
